Light‑filled, nearly 700 sq ft, 2 bedroom apartment in Bushwick in a small, quiet 6‑unit building on a tree‑lined street. High ceilings, hardwood floors, and big windows bring in great light throughout the day. The unit is on the second floor - one flight up, no elevator.
The front room - currently used as a living room - faces southeast and gets beautiful morning light. The back room - used as the bedroom - faces northwest and is a bit cozier, but also gets great light. There is a gas stove and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen.
The block is very quiet but close to everything: grocery store, laundromat, and bodega are just around the corner, and neighborhood spots like Sunrise Sunset, Foster Sundry, and House of Yes are a short walk away. There is no laundry in the building. The Knickerbocker M is about 5 minutes away and the DeKalb L about 15 minutes, with B60, B32, and B54 bus lines nearby.
This is a great home base for someone who wants extra space, works from home, or appreciates a calm, residential part of Bushwick with easy access to transit and neighborhood favorites.
I’m looking for a quiet, respectful tenant. No pets and no smoking, please. You’d be applying through the landlord’s management company and taking over my lease from July 1 through December 31, 2026, with the option to renew a full lease directly with the landlord after that. (Note: There may be an opportunity to move in sooner than July 1; we can discuss!)
The apartment will be unfurnished, but I am selling a few pieces -- for example, the large wardrobe in the primary bedroom, which has a ton of storage, the two window AC units from Windmill, and a few other items. Open to discussing what you might like to keep!
I've lived here for nearly five years and have loved it. I’m only moving to be closer to work.
Rent is $3,150/month. You would set up and cover electricity, gas, and internet in your own name.
In terms of applying, subtenant will apply through my landlord’s management company. They typically ask for standard documents, such as proof of income, a credit check, and photo ID.
First month’s rent and one month’s security deposit are due at signing. I’m committed to a fair and transparent process in line with Listings Project’s community agreements.
Please reach out to me and share a bit more about yourself and a link to a public profile, such as LinkedIn. I'll be scheduling viewings over the coming weeks.
