The bedroom overlooks a lush, green open lot. Afternoon sun comes in filtered through tree leaves, keeping the room bright without getting too warm. There's a walk-in closet, partially available for your use, and clean sheets are provided.
The A train (207 St) is a 3-minute walk, the 1 train (207th St) is 7 minutes away, and Columbus Circle is just 30 minutes by transit. One block away from the entrance to Inwood Hill Park, 15 minutes from The MET Cloisters, and from there another short walk to the beautiful Heather Garden.
The apartment occupies an entire floor, three flights up, with a kitchen, dining room, and 1.5 bathrooms. You'd be sharing with three wonderful roommates. All are welcome, whoever you are.
I'm a graduate student in comparative literature, subletting my room for the summer. I'm looking for a respectful, clean subtenant to share the apartment with my three wonderful roommates — a poet, a Reiki master, and a philosophy student — a friendly, eclectic group ranging in age from their 30s to 70s. Inwood is a peaceful neighborhood with a weekly farmers' market just a block away, and I hope you'll love spending the summer here as much as we do.
Roommates share cleaning of common areas twice a month. I'd also ask that you water my plants once a week. No pets or indoor smoking, please.
Ideally, I'm looking for someone who can cover the full sublet period, but I'm open to splitting it into two legs: approximately May 31–July 11 and July 12–late August.
The rental price is $1,250/month, all utilities included. A refundable deposit of $800 is due at signing, returnable at the end of the sublet. If we think it could be a good match, we'll invite you to visit in person or meet the roommates via Zoom.
