Unfurnished (or partially furnished if you like) room available in an otherwise furnished three-bedroom apartment starting October 1, located in Brooklyn's Crown Heights, about 2 blocks from Prospect Park, as well as the lovely Brooklyn Botanical Gardens!

Your room: Can easily fit a full size bed, or even a queen, plus a desk, and dresser. Your room has big beautiful windows, its own AC/heating unit, and a spacious closet with extra storage throughout the apartment.

The apartment: In-unit washer & dryer, a dishwasher, hardwood floors, spacious living room and dining area, balcony, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, gas range and stove, and more! The living room couch can double as a pullout bed for guests. You’ll only be sharing the bathroom with one other person.

The building: It’s an elevator building with a small gym, a rooftop with seating, and more free laundry in the building if you ever need it. (But that would be rare since we've got the aforementioned washer and dryer in-unit!)

Transportation: We are close to several subway lines including the Q and B (a seven-minute walk), the 2, 3, 4 & 5 (a ten-minute walk). You’ll be 30 minutes away from Union Square, just to give you some idea.

Logistics: First month and a deposit of one full month's rent are due upon move-in. This is a one-year sublet starting October 1. Rent is $1570 with utilities usually somewhere around $100 a person depending on the season.

The Neighborhood: Prospect Park has numerous free concerts, movies, and yoga in the nicer weather, and the Botanical Gardens are peaceful to stroll through in any season. Crown Heights is a neighborhood rife with restaurants and coffee shops to explore. There’s a Planet Fitness a few blocks away, and numerous grocery stores.

About This Lister

You’ll be sharing the apartment with two professional/academic/creatives in our late 30s/early 40s, one male, one female. One is a professor of design history from the midwest, and the other is a science writer. We are both relaxed, quiet and tidy, but also social. We love throwing the occasional movie onto the wall with our movie projector, or hosting the occasional dinner party or game night. We’ve hosted an Oscars party the last couple years and plan to do so again. We’d love to find a roommate with a similar vibe.
