Hello!
We are looking to fill one room in a 4 bedroom 2 bath apartment in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. It will be a lease takeover starting Aug 1-June 30th, 2026 (possibility to extend).
The apartment is fully furnished and has a spacious and cozy living room/kitchen area. Includes in-unit laundry and dishwasher. You would be sharing a bathroom with a (very clean) male roommate in his mid-30s, so must be comfortable with this setup. The available room has lots of natural light with 2 windows and is quiet as it's in the back of the apartment and has an A/C unit.
The location is unbeatable. G train across the street, one block from McCarren Park, and a short walk to Transmitter Park, Bushwick Inlet, and McGolrick Park. Tons of restaurants and bars are all close by.
The building is 3 stories with one unit on each floor (we’re on the second floor). Sorry, no pets.
Current roommates consist of one female and two males – late ’20s to mid 30s. We’ve been happily living together for several years and have established a considerate home. House vibe is low-key and cooperative - so parties and frequent gatherings aren’t a great fit. Looking for a roommate with experience living in shared spaces/with multiple roommates.
The apartment is large enough for us to all be social while also respecting each other’s personal space. We try to keep overnight guests to a minimum and longer-term visitors are discouraged due to limited space. One of us currently works from home, and one of us works from home occasionally, so must be courteous of working hours during the week. Ideal candidate is someone who rarely works from home and who tends to be out during the day on weekdays.
In addition to monthly rent which is $1480, utilities typically range from $50-100 per person per month, plus $40 for monthly cleaning of the common areas (incl. bathrooms), with total monthly costs amounting to about $1600.
We don’t have room for any additional items in the common areas, as these are already furnished and decorated. The available room comes unfurnished, with the option to buy some furniture items (e.g., full-size bed/bedframe), if interested.
We like to meet all of our candidates in person before deciding, to see if it's a good fit. Please be prepared to provide references later, if needed.
We will be meeting people in person this Saturday (7/19) between 2p-7p & Sunday (7/20) 4p-8p. If interested, please respond with:
1. A brief description of yourself (incl age)
2. What you do for work and what your regular work hours are (including any work-from-home expectations)
3. Any other information you think we should know
4. Your availability for a 30-minute meeting this Sat/Sun during those time frames
