I'm renting my much beloved 1100 sq ft home on a sunny and leafy corner lot in Northeast LA for the 2025-2026 academic year while I'll be out of town for work. Dates are: Sept 1 2025-July 1, 2026, with a little wiggle room at start and end dates. Preference to people who can rent for the entire 10 month period.
Features a large gated private garden, hardwood floors, lots of light, completely furnished, wifi, central air conditioning and heat. Newly remodeled kitchen with everything you need including microwave, new fridge, stove + dishwasher. Full newly remodeled bath with shower and tub. Laundry room with new washer + dryer.
It's a 2 bedroom house- the 2nd bedroom has a single bed and can also be used as a work from home office, which is how I'm using it now.
The neighborhood is peaceful and central to freeways, grocery shopping + restaurants. Close to the 5, 110, 10, 710 and 101. There are lots of cafes, restaurants, bars, etc in Atwater, Silverlake, and Highland Park to go to.
Rent is $3700 incl. all utilities. This is less than the actual expenses. Heat/Electricity is included but if it goes high there may be an additional cost, depending on your use. The house stays cool so I don't usually use AC, so it's usually modest.
There are automatic sprinklers but on the hottest days I'm hoping you can water the garden in a few places, it's pretty easy as it's only a few areas that need water.
Smoking is okay outside, no cats (I'm allergic). Please write an email and tell me a little about yourself and why you might need a place. I'm the owner but will be out of town and am looking for the right person or folks to respect this space and take good care of a home I love. Thank you!
