I'm looking for 1 person to share my studio space with.
This is a 540 square foot studio comprised of two adjoining rooms-- one large open area, and one small alcove space perfect for desk work.
I use the space for my teaching practice Monday-Friday from 4p until 9p and Saturday/Sunday mornings until 1p.
The rest of the time, the space would be your own private workspace.
The space is best suited for photography, desk work of sorts, meetings, etc.
Unfortunately I am not able to accommodate painting/fumes/drums or esthetician services, or anything that leaves a mess/smells in the space, as I do client-facing work in the large room during the hours that I use the space.
The space:
540 square feet
Three giant windows; incredible natural light
Polished wood floor
HVAC system-- great heat and A/C
Rooftop access (gorgeous views of Manhattan Bridge)
Elevator building
Bathrooms right down the hall
There is some street noise that is audible; I do client-facing work here, but if you do voiceover recording or similiar, it's probably not a great fit!
Location:
2 short blocks from the Brooklyn waterfront and Brooklyn Bridge Park
F train at York St one block away, 5 minute walk to AC trains at High St
Multiple parking garages on the block
Lots of services/cafes/grocery within a 2 minute walk of the space
I'm a thirtysomething artist who has been working in this space for the past several years-- I currently just use the space for my teaching practice.
Please be:
-A mature professional seeking a workspace
-Consistent about paying rent on time each month
-Open to staying at least 6 months and willing to sign a sublease agreement
-Respectful of the space; willing to leave the space in the condition you found it in
-Good about stuff like remembering to turn off the HVAC and locking the door after use
-Responsive to communication
-Have your own liability insurance
If interested, please drop me a note with some info about yourself and a link to your work/website. Thanks!
Note: I am able to respond only to inquires that fit the above criteria, thank you for understanding!
