Hi New York! We're looking for a roommate to join us in our 3BR, 2 BA apartment.
The room fits a king size bed, dresser, bookshelf, desk and still leaves space to roll out a yoga mat. It has it's own bathroom with a full tub, great closet space and two big windows that face the backyard. From late March-late November there's a tree that blossoms and that's most of the view, still giving you a lot of sunshine and bringing in a nice breeze. The room is not furnished, aside from an air conditioner, ceiling fan and a desk can be provided if needed.
Looking for someone who *very* clean, respectful of shared spaces, responsible, like-minded and peaceful. More feminine energy for the home, we're two girls . Ideally you're in your late twenties or early thirties and don't work from home. Only looking for ONE roommate, who doesn't bring home visitors. Unfortunately, no pets. No party energy, our home is for winding down.
Our apartment is quiet, clean and functional. There's no shared spaces aside from the kitchen and small dining area. Feels more like having your own space.
The kitchen is fully equipped and opens out to the dining area. There’s lots of natural light all throughout the apartment. The apartment is on the top floor of a three story walk up (two flights). There are only two other tenants in the building, one per floor. Our street is very quiet, but one street parallel to us is Fulton Street and you can find anything you need there.
Rent is $1,550 per month. All utilities (heat, ac, hot water, gas, wifi) included.
The closest train is the A/C, on Kingston Throop (around the corner, three minute walk) or Nostrand Ave (ten min walk). There are also two Citi bike stations on opposite ends of the street. There’s a supermarket (Mr.Carrot) located around the corner with lots of vegan and organic products and there's another supermarket 3-4 blocks away with a gym across the street. No laundry in the building but two laundromats also around the corner on each side (again, everything you need in on Fulton).
If you feel like you'd be a good fit, send a message with your socials and tell us a little bit about yourself. Let us know your work schedules, when you're usually home, how often you cook, etc. Thank you!!
My name is Linda, I'm from Brooklyn and have lived in this apartment for a few years. I'm a Pilates instructor and I spend most of my time in the studio, early morning till around 8pm. I hardly cook, I leave early and I'm home late. I have a busy schedule and when I'm home it's usually to sleep.
Your other roommate is also moving in in September. She's very easy to get along with, new to the city and will be working full time.
We're both very clean and tidy, especially in our communal spaces. Our schedules have us out of the house a lot and that allows us to have the apartment to ourselves most of the time. Neither of us bring guests home or have *sleepovers* at our place. Looking for someone like minded that treats our space like their own and is independent.
First month's rent ($1,550) & security deposit ($1,550) required before move in. Total $3,100.
This is for a 12 month sublease, with a possibility to extend.
September 1st move in.
