I’m renting out my cute, cozy Greenpoint room for a couple of weeks this winter. Full-size bed, work desk, full-length mirror, lots of afternoon sunlight, and a big window overlooking a quiet side street with very little traffic noise. I’m happy to clear out some closet space for your stay. Big bonus points if you can give my plants a little water while I’m gone (don’t worry—they’re very low-maintenance).

The apartment has been renovated in the last few years, complete with central heating (a big plus right now) and new appliances including a gas burner stove. The kitchen and living room get plenty of natural light from the skylight and large windows. Our apartment is one of three in the building and the only one on the top floor, so we have quite a bit of privacy.

The neighborhood couldn't be better. We’re a two-minute walk to the Nassau Ave G train, a five-minute walk from McCarren Park, and a 10-minute walk from McGolrick Park. The apartment is located on a quiet, tree-lined residential street, but it's an easy walking distance to Five Leaves, Bernie’s, Eavesdrop, Falansai, Edy’s Grocer, and a ton of great bars and restaurants. It’s also a 15-minute walk to the Bedford Ave. L stop and there are two Citibike docks within a couple blocks.

Please tell me a bit about yourself and include a link to your LinkedIn/Instagram/website/public-facing social media of choice.

About This Lister

I'm a journalist in my mid-thirties. I live with a really wonderful couple in their late twenties and early thirties (pronouns she/her and they/them). One’s a professional dancer with a varied work schedule and the other works in hospitality and is generally in the office 9-to-5. Everyone's very friendly, kind, and respectful of everyone else's space. We all really love living here and it’s important to us that our home is a clean, comfortable space for everyone. Guests are welcome, of course, but we generally prefer not to bring the party home. This is an LGBTQ+-friendly household.
