Hello! I’m subletting my fully furnished one-bedroom, railroad-style apartment in Manhattan’s Upper East Side from February 16 to September 30 (with the possibility to extend). Shorter stays may be possible, but I prefer a minimum of 3 months.
The Apartment:
- Third-floor walk-up (no elevator)
- Hardwood floors + exposed brick throughout
- Spacious bathroom (for NYC standards)
- Equipped kitchen but no dishwasher.
- Home office area with standing desk
- King-size bed
- Two window A/C units (front + mid of apt)
- Quiet, respectful building and tenants
- All utilities included: heat, hot water, electricity, WiFi
Laundry: No in-unit or building laundry, but a 24-hour laundromat with drop off service is steps away on 2nd Ave between 89th & 90th.
Location:
- East 90th near 3rd Ave
- Walk a few blocks west to Central Park, or east to Carl Schurz Park, the East River, and the 90th Street Ferry stop.
- Walkable and quiet neighborhood full of restaurants, bars, cafes, etc...
- No shortage of grocery stores within 2-4 blocks including Whole Foods (2 blocks away).
- Target (3 blocks from apt)
- Gyms / fitness studios galore: Equinox, 92nd St Y, NYSC, Asphalt Green, Crunch, Barry’s, and more
- The Met, Guggeinheim, the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, the Neue Gallery, all a 5-15 mins walk from the apt.
Transportation:
- 4/5/6 + Q trains nearby
- Express trains (4/5) reach Grand Central in just 2 stops.
I'm a 40 year-old woman working in community development. I will be working remotely for a while which is why I seek a subtenant. I am reasonable and communicative.
Ideal Subtenant:
- Responsible, respectful, and treats the space with care.
- Flexible on dates (bonus if open to staying longer).
- Dog considered on case by case (no cats).
- I will ask for a security deposit as I have nice things.
If interested, please send me a short intro: who you are, your desired dates, your daily schedule, if just you in the apartment, and whether you work from home or in an office.
