Looking for a long term renter. Clean, quiet room with an amazing view of the East River, in lower Manhattan - a highly walk-able Two Bridges neighborhood which is near Chinatown, South Street Seaport, Wall Street and NYU area. Also a nice walk over the bridges to Brooklyn and Williamsburg. For one person only, no pets please. Walk to F train East Broadway or Delancey stop, bus stop on the block, Citibikes on every block, easy Uber pick up near an FDR exit. The Corlears Hook East River Ferry stop is near too. Park on the street with alternate side street parking or at a parking garage 2 blocks away. This is near east Canal St. - restaurants, bars, the art house movie theater Metrograph and now many tiny art galleries dot the local streets. This neighborhood has a good mix of the old and new. Short walk to Trader Joe's, Essex Marketplace and other grocery stores.
The 11' by 14' room is freshly painted, has antique wood furniture with lots of drawers and a full closet. Tons of easterly morning light makes getting up easier yet fully curtained for sleep-ins. A small refrigerator is provided in your room. The one bathroom is shared. The kitchen/dining area is stocked and available for use. The one bathroom with a full tub is shared. Very inexpensive self service laundry in the building. Wifi, air con and all utilities included. The building is quiet, built in the 1960s, with mostly seniors and families living here for generations.
I am a senior with a background in fashion and many other interests. I have a medium sized service dog, quiet and loving. I travel often for months at a time.
No steps into apartment, or building, elevator to 20th floor. No automatic doors. Bathroom is not wheelchair available due to the 1960s building codes.
