I am subletting my one bedroom apartment in Honolulu for the summer and possibly beyond. It is on the third and top floor of a small historic prewar building built around a garden courtyard, one of the last of its kind in Waikiki. It has hardwood floors and windows in every room; a wall of windows in the living room faces Ala Wai Canal and has a view of the mountains.

The location is amazing: a ten-minute walk to Waikiki Beach and a block away from Kalakaua Avenue's shops, restaurants, hotels, and parks. The bus stops around the corner and can take you all over the island. There is bike-share station across the street and hourly car-share stations nearby. Rideshares (e.g. Lyft) are plentiful.

The unit is simply furnished. The bed is a queen size Japanese tatami platform with a traditional futon. Ensuite bathroom with shower stall. Fully equipped kitchen. There are shared outdoor washers and a dryer in the courtyard along with a clothesline.

There is no elevator in the building and no air conditioner in the apartment, though the trade winds and ceiling fans and other fans keep the place breezy and cool. Electricity and wifi are included.

This is great for someone without many possessions who wants to spend a season exploring the unique culture, fun activities, wonderful weather, and stunning beauty of the best city in the country and one of the most magical places on the planet. Great for remote working. Good surf in Honolulu during the summer.

Open to arrangements of at least eight weeks.
