I'm hoping to find a dog-friendly apartment rental that's about 1.5 hours out of the city.

I have a car, but would prefer to travel by bus or train.

Would have to be close enough to be able to commute Tuesday - Thursday to the city for work.

Looking for a 2BD apartment or small cottage-like situation.

Ideal details about your space:
Tons of windows
High ceilings
No carpet (I have area rugs)
Outdoor space for eating
Within 20 minutes (ish) walking to a main street shops/restaurants
In-unit washer/dryer
Shed or basement storage for a few things

I'm a 53 y/o lady, originally from Chicago. Lived in the East Village and Williamsburg for 18 years, and retreated back to Chicago for the pandemic. Now planning my return to NY, and hoping to try life upstate. I love hiking, and need more beautiful scenery in my life.

I'm a freelance writer, and work from home some days. Hoping to add some on-site workdays to my schedule, so would have to be moderately close.

Although I have driven all over Sullivan & Ulster Counties I don't have a specific location in mind. Beacon bc it's close? But you tell me, where is your space?

I have a 12 y/o Staffordshire Terrier, and he's 50lbs. I have emotional support paperwork, if you need that.

On the days I work in the city he would go to pup-daycare upstate, or come with me to Dream Come True K9 on the LES, where he first trained.
