I am subletting my little refuge in Brooklyn from mid-December to mid-January and looking for a caring and responsible subletter. I'm located on Ocean Avenue, just a block from Brooklyn College. The closest trains are the Q/B at Newkirk Plaza or the Q to Avenue H. The 2/3 at Flatbush Junction is about a 15 minute walk.
The 1-bedroom apartment faces a tree lined street and has lots of books and plants throughout. It is basically just a functional and sweet place.
I've put a lot of love into my home and I'm looking for someone respectful of both my space and my neighbors (definitely no parties!), who can water my plants and generally care for and enjoy the place in my absence. I'm happy to show the apartment in person or do a video tour as needed.
I'm asking $2000 for the month, all utilities included. Some flexibility on the dates, particularly on the back end, may be possible, so feel free to ask. I would not be able to leave earlier than Dec. 15th however.
This is an elevator building, with a ramp up to the front door outside. There is a portable washer in the kitchen for light loads of laundry.
If you're interested, please tell me a little about yourself when you reach out! thanks!
I am a lifelong New Yorker, a writer and community organizer.
$2000 for the month, $300 security deposit and two references.
Quiet pets who are house trained and not prone to excessive shedding will be considered. I cannot host dogs that bark a lot when their owner is away, as I live in an apartment building.
