My longtime roommate is moving out and i’m looking for a new replacement! Only 1 roommate (me), bedrooms on opposite ends of a large apartment, cozy neighborhood and pretty small building, just a 7 minute walk from the Franklin C
——
4th floor walk-up, rent stabilized and split between two people (you and I). The third bedroom is used as an office and work space. The rent is roughly $1300, not including utilities (usually around 200$ per person). There is a coin laundry in the basement and we are closest to the Park Place S train and Franklin C stations, but also nearby the A (10min), 2,3,4,5 (15min), G (17min), B,Q (under 20min). The room is very large (a little under 200 sq. ft.), has nice east-facing windows, and is quite far removed from my own room/common areas (we’ve found this works out really well if the person is a musician, either of us need privacy, etc.)
Hi I'm Natalie (she/her)! I'm into sewing, knitting, hiking, roller skating, cooking. I've been living in this space for 4 years. I’m 30, a book designer and type designer originally from Cleveland and currently WFH 2-3 days of the week. I’m pretty social and spend a few nights of the week out in the neighborhood with friends, but also tend to spend a lot of introvert time at home baking, watching movies, etc. When I’m at home, I’m probably working on an artsy project (would prefer a roommate who’s ok/excited about that! I always clean it up immediately if I have to use the common space for anything. Sometimes there’s stuff like handspun yarn drying in a windowsill for a night, etc.). I like my apartment to be a sanctuary away from the city. I also like to build community with the people I live with and occasionally do things like cook together, chat, hang out. I’m looking for someone who is tidy (cleans up after themselves proactively and shares common area cleaning responsibilities equally), an open communicator, considerate, kind, and just a chill person to share space with. I also plan on adopting a new cat soon or possibly fostering for a while (open to people with cats or small pets).
Please send a message telling more about you and what you’re looking for. no couples please. Thanks!
