$1,000 / 4br - One Bedroom in Large Prospect Heights Townhouse Apartment (Brooklyn)

Hi! We have one room available at $1,000/mo in a beautiful, spacious Prospect Heights townhouse apartment with three additional roommates. Available May 1st to sign onto a new lease that runs through August 31st, 2027.

We are looking for someone who is friendly, quiet, highly organized, financially responsible, and down to split weekly chores and utilities. You’ll need the first month’s rent and a one-month deposit upfront.

THE APARTMENT
The apartment is on the second (top) floor of a townhouse off St. Marks Ave and Washington Ave. We have a large open floor plan with the living area, dining area, and kitchen all connected, making it extremely spacious! Two skylights in the common areas provide a ton of natural light.

There are 2 full bathrooms. Ben has his own bathroom. The second full bathroom is shared between Sofia and Alexia, so we are ideally looking for someone who is comfortable sharing a bathroom space with two women.

The kitchen has plenty of cabinet space and is fully stocked with cookware, utensils, a microwave, a toaster, a coffee station, and standard appliances.

THE ROOM
The available room is next to the living room, facing our tree-lined street (the other two bedrooms are in the back). The room features a beautiful bay window, fits a queen bed, nightstand, and a dresser or desk, and includes a spacious closet with a clothing rack. It gets amazing natural light throughout the day.

Note: There are baseboard heaters in the room and common areas. A window AC unit is already installed, and the departing roommate is looking to sell it to the new tenant along with a wall mounted TV if interested. Because it’s a lively neighborhood, there is street noise during summer nights, but earplugs or a white noise machine easily block out the sound.

LOCATION & LOGISTICS

Utilities: $60–$140 per month.

Convenience: Laundry and a grocery store are right around the corner.

Transit: The A/C, 4/5, 2/3, and Q/B trains are all a 10–15 minute walk away.

Perks: Prospect Park is a 15-minute walk away!

We’re looking for someone who is financially secure, pays rent on time, and is seeking a long-term home. Ben has lived here for over 10 years, and Sofia and Alexia both plan to make this their long-term home as well—this is an amazing apartment and the best we’ve ever found!

THE ROOMMATES
We’re all full-time design and creative professionals. We’re laid-back and appreciate a quiet environment when we are at home.

Sofia (early 30s): Works full-time in design from her office. She enjoys yoga, long walks, and spending time outdoors at the park.

Ben (early 40s): Works in-office doing video editing and retouching. He loves drawing, biking, running, and being out in nature.

Alexia (early 30s): Works hybrid in architectural and interior design. She enjoys design projects and knitting.

OUR VIBE & EXPECTATIONS
Our main priority is keeping the space very clean, neat, and free from clutter. We aren't clean freaks, but we are highly conscientious about sharing a space. We expect everyone to clean up after themselves immediately after cooking/eating, not leave dishes in the sink, clear hair from the shower drain, and keep the counters and floors free of trash or food. We also maintain a strictly shoe-free home.

We like to keep it quiet from around 10 PM to 7 AM (using headphones in the common areas and keeping voices low). We don’t have many people over, as we like to relax at home after a busy workweek. If you’re someone who likes to host large groups frequently, this probably isn't the best fit! A few friends dropping by occasionally is totally fine, as long as it’s not loud or late.
