Bright, spacious bedroom in Greenpoint on a residential street. Available March 1, but can pro-rate for a mid-month move in. The room is currently unfurnished, but can be set up with a full sized bed, nightstand and dresser if desired.
This is a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom railroad apartment, with the bedrooms at opposite ends. Shared furnished and plant-filled living room and decent sized eat-in kitchen between the bedrooms. The shared bathroom is very small but it has a tub.
It's a 4th floor walk up about 7 minutes from the Greenpoint G stop in an older, well maintained 8 unit building. I have lived here for 7 years, I love the apartment and the neighborhood.
Looking for a quiet, respectful roommate.
Rent: $2000 flat. I am open to long or shorter term stays.
No pets, no smoking in the apartment. I am vegan, and prefer a vegetarian roommate.

I am a visual and performance artist. I work for a gallery and have an active studio practice outside the apartment. Like most New Yorkers, my home is my sanctuary. I value a calm and respectful shared living set-up. Cleanliness in the kitchen and bathroom are important to me.

My ideal roommate is a balance of extrovert/introvert - I can be very talkative, but also need downtime. Not looking to be strangers living in silence -- I like to share an occasional meal or some wine or tea. I have been vegan for almost 30 years. You don't have to be, but I ask that you do not cook meat in the house.

I use she/her pronouns. My long-term partner stays overnight about once every two weeks.
