I’m looking for someone to take over the lease for my room in a 2-bedroom apartment on the second floor of a brownstone on a quiet, tree-lined block in Bed-Stuy.
The room is available from December 15, 2025 to June 30, 2026, with the option to renew with the landlord at the end of the lease.
About the Room & Apartment
:
• Rent: $1,425/month
• Quiet bedroom facing the backyard
• Built-in wardrobe
• Heat included, and always warm in winter
• Utilities average ~$100/month
• 2nd floor walk-up in a well-kept brownstone
• Please note: the apartment does not have a communal living room. The private layout makes it feel more like a small studio within a shared apartment, which has worked well for me
The Neighborhood
:
• 10-minute walk to Kingston–Throop (C Train)
• Around the corner from Frog Wine Bar, and a 5-minute walk to Saraghina
• Close to many great restaurants, cafés, bars, and a laundromat at the end of the block
• Beautiful tree-lined residential street
Your Roommate:
You’d be living with a male therapist in his early 30s — very friendly, tidy and respectful. He has a separate entrance to his side of the apartment, so the space feels private and you probably won't often cross paths.
Why I’m Leaving:
Only moving because I was offered an apartment through the NYC housing lottery. I’ve lived here for a few years and it’s been a peaceful, comfortable place to live.
If you're interested or would like to see the space, please send me a message
