Position Overview: We are recruiting for a team of experienced behavioral interventionists, and caregivers to provide support for a warm and funny Autistic individual who has occasional heightened physical reactions. As a member of his team, your role will include providing daily structure and guidance while implementing behavior management strategies to maintain a safe and positive environment.
About the client: Client is 23 years old. He is an energetic, active young man and benefits from staying busy with structured activities throughout the day. He likes to be busy, loves to paint, loves to cook, swim, and listen to music. He has functional language but struggles with expressive language. He occasionally has seizures which is managed by medication.
Job Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
- Maintain a consistent daily routine for the client, incorporating appropriate downtime and breaks.
- Accompany the client to scheduled activities within walking distance or a 30–60 minute drive.
- Willingness to be trained in seizure protocol for the individual.
- Support the client using approved behavior management techniques, including verbal de-escalation, redirection, structured activities, and, when necessary, approved physical interventions.*
-Collaborate regularly with the client’s multidisciplinary support team—including parents, caregivers, and other professionals—by sharing notes, strategies, and observations to ensure cohesive care.
-Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with the client’s dietary needs and preferences.
*Training will be provided to staff!
Hours: Mondays- Fridays, 10:00am-7:00pm**

Job Requirements:
-Required: Driver's license and ability to/comfortable driving client to activities (car provided)
-Required: Prior work experience with individuals with special needs/autism and/or challenging behaviors
-Required: Ability and willingness to implement behavior intervention plans that may include the use of safe and approved physical interventions as outlined in individualized support plans, following all ethical guidelines and training protocols*
-Preferred: Certification in RBT
-Preferred: Training or certification in behavior management and de-escalation techniques
Pay:
-$30-40/hour for applicants without certification
-$40-50/hour for applicants with RBT certification
Future Centered Care provides wrap-around case management services for the clients they work with. This includes: finding and training staff, identifying potential volunteer/internship/job opportunities, supporting clients in the home and out in the community, working collaboratively with client’s circle of support and partnering with families wherever support is needed.
