Looking for a respectful, grounded roommate to join me in a beautiful 1st floor, 2-bedroom, 1-bath, floor-through apartment in a classic Brooklyn brownstone. It is a small 3 unit building and all of the neighors know each other (it’s very special!). This space overlooks a peaceful city park and is filled with natural light, hardwood floors, high ceilings, plants, and a calming energy. It’s a real home — clean, serene, and intentionally maintained.

The apartment is blocks from the Halsey L and J trains and close to all the best Bushwick spots, while still feeling tucked away from the chaos.

The Room:
* Private, ~10x9 ft with very high ceilings
* Window faces the quiet backyard with gentle morning light
* Can comfortably fit a queen bed
* Small closet + an office nook — ideal for WFH setups (more on that below)
* Some furniture may be available for purchase from the outgoing roommate

The Apartment:
* Spacious shared living/dining area with gorgeous natural light and many plants
* Full kitchen and bathroom (includes a Japanese bidet washlet!)
* Office area within storage nook
* Hardwood floors and lots of traditional Brooklyn charm
* Shared cleaning duties (we use a chore chart to keep it fair and simple)
* Not a party space — this is a sanctuary for both of us

Looking For:
* Someone who values respect, cleanliness, and intentional living
* A co-creator in the space — not just a roommate but someone who helps make this a real home
* Engaged but grounded — quiet, mindful, but still of course open to friendship (never not been friends with past roommates!)
* Respectful of my sobriety in the home (totally happy to discuss what that means)

WFH:
The room includes an office nook that’s great for remote work! That said, I’d love to have a conversation about WFH rhythms to make sure we’re aligned — particularly around keeping the common areas free for shared, unplugged downtime whenever possible.

Other Notes:
* LGBTQ+ friendly
* No pets, please (building restrictions)
* Sublet runs through February with possibility to extend

Interested?

If this sounds like your kind of home, definitely reach out! These kinds of cozy, plant filled brownstones with true park views don’t stay open long!

Please email me with a little bit about yourself and what you’re looking for in a home. I’d love to see if we’re a good match!
