Looking for a clean, respectful, non-smoking tenant who wants a coastal winter getaway - open to the entire time or a portion of the time, please contact me for pricing details as they will be dependent upon length of stay. :) Perfect getaway for a writer or artist or remote worker who wants to get away from the city for a bit.

Stay above an independent bookstore in a charming, historic apartment right in the center of Tiverton Four Corners, Rhode Island. Shops and restaurants all around you and a short walk or bike to multiple beaches and wooded trails!

We welcome guests to stay in the private apartment on the second floor of the historic 1840 Benjamin Seabury house which now has an independent bookstore on the first floor (The Yellow House) and a spacious one bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor.

The space
This is a quaint, charming historic home from 1840! It at one time housed the town library and currently is a bookstore (The Yellow House) with art, books, gifts, and community classes and events.

The apartment is located in the center of the historic shopping village of Tiverton Four Corners. You are on Main Road and nestled in amongst all of the shops - it is perfect for those who want an easy bike or drive to the beach and the outdoors but want to stay in the bustle of things (the bustle shuts down around 4pm). You have a private entrance on the side of the building next to your own parking spot.

Bike to the beach, grab lunch across the street at the Grille or Groundswell, fantastic cheese right next door at The Cheese Wheel, and enjoy all the village has to offer (art galleries, antique stores, vintage shops, home goods, clothing, and jewelry stores and more). Finish the day off with an ice cream cone at iconic Gray's - all a short walk from the building. 30-35 min drive to Providence + Newport, 1 hr to Boston.

This is a serene, charming apartment. It has the original hardwood floors from the mid-1800's and beautiful natural light comes streaming in to all of the rooms. We have a queen sized bed in the bedroom along with a small wardrobe rack, mirror, and rocking chair. A full bathroom with tub/shower and a large kitchen with a pantry and lots of counter space, perfect for prepping meals for beach adventures. There is a dishwasher, large sink, full stove/oven, coffee prep area, microwave, and full size fridge/freezer. The living room has a brand new leather Burrow sectional, an antique Spanish oak chair, a TV (roku), and some games, books, and puzzles for rainy days.

PLEASE READ
A warning that the building is historic, it has been well cared for and preserved but there is a very steep staircase to get to the second floor. It is not recommended for anyone with mobility issues, knee/hip/back issues, etc. If you are staying for an extended period of time we can discuss an exception to use a larger emergency staircase to get bags in and out, but that is off limits as it is an emergency egress at all other times.
---
Guest access
Guests have private use of the second floor. Guests are not permitted to enter the 1st floor bookstore outside of business hours without permission of the owner. Guests can enjoy the backyard and patio any time! We just need to keep noise to a minimum when outdoors at night, out of respect to the neighbors.
Other things to note
The bookstore is located on the first floor of this building. It is open from 11-4pm Wednesday - Sunday. During those hours we will have customers and ask that guests are respectful with their noise and use of the space.

You can take Amtrak in Providence to Boston + NY but definitely need a car to get around the area. We are in a magical, quiet area where farmland meets the ocean.

No pets/no smoking! You can check out our reviews on airbnb. Monthly rate of $2,200 does not include utilities.
