Inviting Craftspeople / Designers / Makers interested in furthering inclusion through design.
Family seeking Facilitator for an entrepreneurship homeschooling project rooted in curiosity and play.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Offer design /craft lessons, facilitate discussions and provide opportunity for hands on practice for a teen with disabilities
2. Design and make 2 or 3 sustainable products with teen
3. Create meaningful engagement and connection with the local community through design
4. Connect with the disability community through design
Schedule:
3 days per week
Pay rate:
$40,000 to $60,000 per year, private pay
Required:
- Ability to make functional 3D objects
- Knowledge and experience using a variety of materials and techniques
- Experience working in an educational setting (experience working with teens with multiple physical and developmental needs preferred)
- Understanding of Self Directed Education
- 1 year commitment minimum
Preferred:
- Pursuing a degree or holding a degree in the field of 3D Product Design (or related)
