Daytime Assistant – Queer Bar
Location: West Village, New York City
Hours: Part-time, weekday shifts; 20-25 hours per week
We’re looking for a self-driven, detail-oriented Daytime Assistant to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who can work independently without constant supervision, thrives in a fast-paced, community-focused environment, and learns new systems and processes quickly.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare the bar for service, including restocking, organizing, and light cleaning
• Manage inventory and deliveries with accuracy and efficiency
• Assist with basic administrative tasks
• Support event prep and coordination as needed
• Keep the space looking sharp, welcoming, and ready for our community
Requirements:
• Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership over tasks
• Excellent attention to detail—nothing slips through the cracks
• Quick learner with the ability to master inventory systems and other software
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to creating an inclusive, affirming space for the LGBTQ+ community
• Prior experience not required
Compensation: $20/hr, 401K after one year, additional benefits to be discussed.
