Hello,
My name is Marli (female, mid-30s). There was a major water leak in my apartment recently and I need to move by May 1st. Instead of looking for a new place, I'm searching for temporary housing through the summer as LA has become too expensive to stay long-term -- I'm really sad too.
However, I'm a writer/ director who's in the middle of pitching a project and can't leave tomorrow. I think by the end of summer I'll know which way things are going in that arena. I also work part-time in Silver lake, which is why I'm looking for housing in or around that area.
If you have an ADU or back house, furnished or unfinished (I have furniture, but can also put it in storage if needed), that would be ideal.
OR, a room with a private bathroom would be great.
OR, a room is fine as well.
Also looking for a place with AC as it's already in the 90s and the summer will be even hotter.
My budget is $900-1000. I'm extremely clean, quiet and responsible. No pets, parties or smoking from me! I spend my free time reading, writing, walking, and occasionally cooking. I'm very low key. I really keep to myself, but would love to watch a movie or have a cup of tea!
Please let me know! Thanks for reading :)
As I mentioned, I'm very low key. I spend a lot of time writing because that's my passion. I read a lot of books, watch movies, and take walks. I work part-time in Silver lake and am looking for a place in the area or closeby. Writing this has made me realize I'm kind of boring, but probably the best tenant or roommate because of that!
I don't really host at all. I like to be peaceful at home and go out for my entertainment, but that doesn't mean I expect the same from you. But, if you are someone who likes to host ALL the time and have parties frequently then, we probably aren't a great match. I'm also very clean and appreciate when common areas are clean. I've had roommates that left dishes in the sink for days that led to ants so I care about things like that, but I'm not going to be upset if things are left out. It's more like generally being considerate of each other and preventing bugs!
I'd love to be friends with the person I'm living with, but have them understand that I'm a bit like a student. I'm here to write and get my feature off the ground so I might be nose-deep in my computer, or reading/ watching movies for research most of the time. I'm not anti-social, just super goal-oriented and driven, but very fun when I come up for air :)
