I’m looking for a new roommate for my apt in Bushwick. It’s an amazing space and I’m looking for a long term roommate who will replace my roommate for the remainder of our lease and then if things work out we can renew together.

About the space:
It’s a beautiful 2bd/1bath with huge windows and giant closets on the second floor of a well maintained 5 unit apt building. No elevator. The bedrooms are on opposite sides and the common spaces (bathroom, living room & kitchen) are in the middle. The kitchen is equipped with high end appliances including a dishwasher and the bathroom has a tub and full vanity/medicine cabinet with lots of room for toiletries. There is also a shared back patio with a grill and patio furniture available to us for BBQs and other fun gatherings.

Your room:
The larger of 2, faces the street and has its own entrance. It’s big enough to fit king or queen bed and desk. Unfurnished so you can make it your own. It’s sunlit with indirect light all day and stays cool in the summer. AC unit included and all rooms come with ceiling fans. The closet is huge and has an upper storage cabinet.

Roommate:
The best situation would be a considerate and clean roommate who works out of the home at least part of the week and doesn’t bring the party home. It’s a mostly quiet building and neighbors are respectful. I’ve had social and non social roommates and with open communication anything is manageable. So let’s chat. No couples. No smoking. No additional pets.

🌱 Plant lovers to the front of the line. 420, 🏳️‍🌈, ✡️ friendly.
MUST LIKE CATS, vegan/vegetarian friendly is a huge plus but not a deal breaker.

About the area:
Bushwick, 1 block to the Dekalb L.
Coffee, bodega, groceries and laundry within 1-2 blocks. Great bars and restos, nail salons and yoga studios in walking distance. Very walkable. And in case of emergency there’s a hospital right down the street.

About This Lister

About me:
Late 30s F (she/her) teacher. Originally from the West Coast but I’ve lived in NY for almost 10 years and it’s where I call home.

I’m a film buff, travel nut, dancing enthusiast and amateur vegan chef. I love tacos and mezcal, ping pong, and I’m a huge tennis fan.

I would love to find someone who is friendly and wants to socialize from time to time. But also likes a quiet and calm environment and knows how to respect space.

We all have our quirks and pet peeves. I hate a dirty kitchen; and hair left in the bathroom. Happy to share more if any of this sounds like a fit
