Sunny, spacious studio/gallery/work space on the 3rd floor of The People's Store (built in 1839) which houses over 40 antique dealers on the lower floors with artist studios on the 3rd floor. The building is in the center of historic Lambertville, NJ among restaurants, galleries, antique shops and the famous Rago Arts and Auction House all along side the beautiful Delaware river. On weekends and holidays this is a destination for people from all over the world and the nearby cities of NY and Philadelphia, both about an hour away. This would be a great way to get a feel for the area if you’re thinking about moving to NJ or Buck’s County, which is just across the river.
The rental includes heat, AC, water, electric and wifi and a small bathroom with a large painter's sink. There is plenty of natural light streaming in from the large windows and overhead fluorescent lights for working at night. In the gallery there are 10 foot white walls that are lit by adjustable gallery track lighting. The gallery has a variety of wall sizes showing large work well and more intimate walls for smaller pieces. The gallery can easily handle two-dimensional work as well as sculptures. This space could be a combined art gallery, workspace.
The building has recently been upgraded with all new windows and therefore is efficient and comfortable. It is located in the center of town which is convenient for running out for a coffee, restaurants, gym, spa, the nearby hardware store or a swim in the Delaware river.
This space does not have an elevator.
About the Lister
I am an artist and teacher living and working in Lambertville. I absolutely love this studio and all the nice people in the antique shops below. I have been renting the space for six years and I travel twice a year to our second home. If you are curious about the area and would like to inquire about where to stay, I can help you out with that as well.
The space is so comfortable and convenient, that I am here almost everyday, all day. Many people, friends and family love to drop by on weekends which is also when I hold most of my classes. During the week it is very quiet and peaceful. The tenant would be renting the front gallery while I would occupy the back studio.

I am here most everyday therefore you could just stop in, yet best to arrange a showing time since I often go out to walk my dog or meet a friend at the coffee shop across the street.
