About Me & My Service:
A patient's cancer journey is an overwhelming production. There are countless appointments, decisions, and details to manage, all while trying to focus on healing. I believe everyone going through this deserves a "producer" in their corner to help manage it all.
After my own Stage 3 cancer journey, I had a huge realization: what if I could use my 20 years of skills as a professional producer to help others navigate the chaos of treatment?
So, I created The Patient Pathway. I now use those exact skills—combined with the deep empathy of a survivor—to help patients, families, and caregivers manage the non-medical complexities of a health crisis. I am the partner I so desperately needed.
My Services:
I act as your dedicated organizational partner, focused on reducing overwhelm. My support includes:
- Logistical & Practical Planning: Managing the coordination of appointments, schedules, and research.
- Creating a Centralized Hub: Organizing medical bills, records, and communication into one clear system.
- Strategic Support: Helping you list all your concerns and structure them into a clear, actionable plan.
- Post-Treatment Navigation: Building a practical, non-medical roadmap for the "what's next?" phase.
Who This Is For:
This service is for any patient, caregiver, or family member who feels overwhelmed by the logistical demands of a cancer journey and wants a compassionate, expert partner to help them manage it all.
My Fees & Engagement:
Engagement is customized to your specific needs, ranging from a few hours of strategic planning to ongoing monthly support. We offer several pricing packages as well as hourly rates to ensure a good fit. The first step is always a complimentary 30-minute consultation to discuss your situation and see if my approach is right for you. You can learn more and book a consultation on my website below.
Common Questions (FAQ):
Q: Is this a medical service?
A: No, my support is strictly non-medical. I handle the practical and logistical challenges to complement the excellent care you receive from your medical team.
Q: Can caregivers hire you directly?
A: Absolutely. My service is designed to support the entire care team. Many of my clients are family members or friends who need a partner to manage the overwhelming logistics.
Hi, I'm Donna, and I live in upstate New York. For 20 years, my life was in freelance production—a demanding, fast-paced world where my job was to bring order to chaos. I was also a hardcore yoga practitioner, a green-juice drinker, and newly married. At 41, life was full.
Then came the diagnosis: Stage 3 colon cancer.
Suddenly, the life I had so carefully balanced felt impossible. More than the physical challenges, what I remember most is the profound feeling of isolation. I hesitated to burden my family, wanting to appear strong, and I desperately searched for resources that understood the unique, non-medical needs of someone going through treatment.
It was through that long, five-year journey of rebuilding my life that my professional mission was born. What motivates me is ensuring no woman has to face these multifaceted challenges alone. I created The Patient Pathway to be the empathetic, practical, and knowledgeable partner I so desperately needed myself.
What I enjoy most about this work is combining my two life experiences into one. I get to channel my "producer brain"—all those skills in managing complex logistics under pressure—into something deeply personal. Seeing the relief on a client's face when they realize they have a steady guide to help them navigate the chaos… that is the most rewarding part of it all.
My qualifications for this work are a unique blend of over two decades of professional logistical expertise and the profound, firsthand experience of a cancer survivor.
Professional Experience: 20+ Years as a Producer:
For over 20 years, I worked as a freelance producer, managing complex projects, schedules, and diverse teams. My entire career was built on bringing order to chaos, anticipating needs, and providing calm, reliable support under pressure. I now channel these exact high-level organizational skills into managing the non-medical complexities of a cancer journey.
Lived Experience: A Survivor's Perspective:
In addition to my professional background, I have walked this path myself as a Stage 3 colon cancer survivor. I intimately understand the overwhelm, the isolation, and the practical challenges of navigating treatment and post-treatment life. This lived experience provides me with a deep empathy and a nuanced understanding that is essential to this work.
This combination allows me to be both a compassionate, steady guide and a highly effective, action-oriented partner for my clients.
