Hi! I'm looking for a roommate to share my cozy, light-filled 2-bedroom apartment in Fort Greene starting anytime after August 1. I’ve lived here for five years and absolutely love it—it’s truly the best place I’ve lived in NYC, and I’m hoping to find someone who wants to create a warm, relaxed and fun home together.

A bit about the apartment:
The apartment is on a quiet, tree-lined street just a few blocks from Fort Greene Park and steps from the C train. It’s also a short walk to Barclays Center with easy access to the 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q, and G trains—perfect for getting around the city.

It’s a second-floor walk-up that overlooks a small park in the front and a backyard in the back. The building is pretty quiet with only 2 other tenants.

Your room is unfurnished and has a closet, plus space for a queen bed, desk, and dresser. It gets nice light and overlooks the back of the building—quiet and peaceful with no through traffic. Rent is $1550/month plus ~$100 for utilities. The shared living spaces are fully furnished, but I’m open to making space if you have things you'd like to bring.

A bit about you:
Ideally, you're in your late 20s to late 30s, value a peaceful and tidy home while still having a lot of fun throughout the city and perhaps together(!), and are looking to be friendly roommates—not just ships passing in the night. My former roommate (and good friend!) is moving out to live with his partner, and I’d love to find someone who’s interested in building a new rhythm together here.

If this sounds like a good fit, I’d love to hear from you!

About This Lister

I’m a 32-year-old woman working full-time in FiDi and going to school at night to become a somatic therapist. I’m clean, easygoing, funny, and thoughtful, and I tend to keep things pretty low-key at home. I enjoy a calm, respectful space where we can both recharge and feel comfortable- be it rewatching Veep, chatting about our latest Hinge date or just reading on the couch. I'm relatively busy and social throughout the week, spending a few nights at home a week cooking and relaxing. I'm always looking for new fun friends and finding a great roommate would be a lot of fun for me.

I don’t smoke, don’t have pets, and drink only occasionally. I’d be open to pets depending on the vibes.
