Hello! I'm looking for a private room, large enough for typical bedroom stuff + a small desk. (I WFH 1-2 days per week). Ideally unfurnished bedroom in a furnished apartment, but I'm flexible. No strong feelings about amenities, but I enjoy cooking so a decent kitchen is a plus.

Looking for a 12 month lease, but open to discussing a shorter lease for a trial period. 2k budget, move in date prior to 10/1.

Hi, I'm Zak and I was born and raised in Brooklyn. Soon to turn 31, I moved out of the city about five years ago and have been living out west since then, but after earning my masters degree this winter, am returning to NYC to work for a nyc based non-profit. Is is a hybrid role so I will be in the office 3-4 days/week and remote 1-2/week. I also will sometimes need to work evenings and weekends.

I largely view my apartment and home as a respite from the city, so looking for others with a similar mindset. I enjoy socializing, however primarily do so outside of the apartment. I like to think that I am respectful, communicative, and an considerate roommate who respects others space, quiet, and belongings. I'm clean, without being a neat freak. Usually doing a deeper clean once a week (bathroom, kitchen, etc) and tidying up after my meals or any other messes in the interim.

Outside of the apartment I enjoy being social, nature, museums, exercise, and visiting my family upstate. I do so about once per month, more in the warmer months, so you'll have the place to yourself periodically.
