THE DETAILS:
- 4 bed 2 bath (3 floors) - rooms are all pretty spacious and have high ceilings, in-unit laundry, dishwasher, and private backyard. There will be one room on the second floor opening up, which will share a bathroom with Seth (see below for details on Seth). There is one other unit in the building on the 4th floor, but our space is on the bottom 3 floors.
The room itself is spacious with high ceilings, substantial closet space, and two tall windows. The room already comes furnished with a Queen-size bed and frame (We would be happy to move this if you are bringing your own!), as well as a window AC unit. The room is north-facing, opening to the street, but still gets a good amount of natural light and views of a beautiful, large tree. As the neighborhood is quiet, the street noise is pretty minimal except for the occasional siren or loud car.
- Looking for someone for May to the end of July, only at this time.
- The space is furnished and cozy. The backyard is open for business (although we are growing some plants/grass, so keeping off it for the next week or two)
- Tenants maintain the backyard and shovel front steps and a path on the sidewalk. The landlord provides the materials, so we are just responsible for doing the work.
- The room has a bed and an AC unit in it currently.
- Some indoor bike storage available (very bike-friendly apartment in general)
- The sublease is expected to start May 1 and go to july 31.
- The Landlord will need to do a background check and will request a security deposit due at signing.
- Located on a quieter residential block of Bed Stuy, about a 10-minute walk from the Kingston-Throop C or Utica A stop, and about a 30 min walk from the Bedford-Nostrand G.

Seth - 24, he/him. I currently work full remote so I am in the house during most of the week! I have a pet cat, Elliot, who is cute and playful. I love hosting friends, so I do dinner parties and have friends over once a week or so. Ideally, I’d love a roommate who is good with pets, clean, considerate, and overall enjoyable to be around!

I work in the city as a sommelier in the service industry and am currently finishing my degree in industrial design. When I'm not working or doing classwork, I usually spend time with my partner, bike, go to the beach, or do woodwork.
I love the space we live in and would like to find someone who feels the same way. Through the years, we have spent substantial time fixing up our backyard garden and have taken the time to organize and decorate our space. Ideally, I want someone respectful of common areas and attentive to the apartment's needs. We would love a roommate that’s dedicated to keeping the apartment looking beautiful and respectful of the space!

I've lived in the city for about 5 years now and really enjoying it. I currently work hybrid (2-3 days in the office) and the rest from home. I work as a Project Manager for NYSERDA.
When not working, I can typically be found running, biking and eating various foods with friends across the city. I love to travel and am often taking weekend trips for various biking and other outdoor activities.
Cleanliness of common areas is important to me - especially in the kitchen. Obviously, things get busy, and things are never perfect but an effort to keep common areas tidy goes a long way in a shared space and for me is a sign of respect to others in the house. I also really value having a warm and inviting space for those who live here and anyone who comes over. I strive to have a comfortable space that can be a reprieve from the chaos that is NYC.
It's a beautiful apartment with a lovely backyard, and I hope to take full advantage of these amenities in the warmer months by having little dinner parties and outdoor gatherings!
