Hello,
I am subletting the largest room (with private bath) in my 4-bedroom 2-bathrooms apartment in Hamilton Heights from as early as January 15th to mid-April, with the possibility of extension/ lease take-over. The sublease will be month-to-month. For the time being, there will only be the two of us in the apartment.
The space is HUGE with 20-ft ceilings, which I can't adequately capture in photos. Our neighborhood is warm and lively, and we are located above the post popular strip of bars in West Harlem. We also have a beautiful rooftop and are a short walk away from the Hudson river, where in addition to the riverside park, there also is a recreation center with a running track.
The apartment comes with dishwasher and washing machine. It's a 5th floor walk-up. Minutes from 1/ A/C/B/D trains.
Close to groceries, restaurants, cafes.
The room for rent is the most private part of the apartment, located at the furthest end of the railway-style apartment, away from street noise.
About me: I am a writer and work predominantly from home. I am currently undergoing medical treatment which makes it difficult for me to manage more than one roommate, but occasionally there might be a visiting scholar staying in one of the other two rooms for a few nights stay.
Looking for a roommate who keeps a busy schedule. Preference will be given to QTBIPoC and mature applicants. The house is no-shoes and I try to keep it clean, so that has to also be a match. :) Lastly, you have to be willing to deal with an immune-compromised roommate. I wouldn't ask you to curb your social life or wear a mask, but only that you be mindful about bringing guests and alert me if you are feeling under the weather. :)
