Neighborhood

Williamsburg, Brooklyn

We're subletting our lovely carriage house apartment in Williamsburg. We are moving in early February 2026 and need someone to sublet 2/8/2026 (start date flexible) through 5/31/2026. You will have the option to re-sign for the next year directly with the landlord from there (starting 6/1/2026). We can also to leave the apartment furnished if you want to buy some/all of our furniture :-)

The apartment is tucked away behind neighboring buildings off the street, so it is quiet and peaceful. When we open our windows, we just hear the birds and wind chimes!

Outdoor patio space under the trailing grapevines in summer.

Inside, the unit is small but nicely updated with marble countertops, hardwood floors, central air/AC, and laundry in basement. The bedroom fits a queen size bed (or a full with room to walk on both sides, as pictured), and has 2 closets.

The building itself is only 2 units. The two women upstairs are super friendly and neighborly.

There is also some additional storage area available in the basement -- we have stored our bikes, backpacking gear, and plastic boxes of supplies down there. Just be aware it is only semi-finished so occasionally gets a damp floor in heavy rains (perhaps 2x/year).

Apt is located on Driggs Ave between 7th and 8th, right across the street from the L entrance (Bedford Avenue stop). Within 10 minutes walk or less to: McCarren Park and its year-round farmer's market, or to the waterfront at Marsha P Johnson Park, grocery stores like Whole Foods and Trader Joes, so many amazing restaurants and shops. Neighborhood feels lively, vibrant, diverse, and safe.

Video walk-through available upon request.
