About the Apartment:
Spacious and full of charm in a historic Brownstone
Equal distance from J/Z Kosciuszko and A/C/E Utica subway stations – easy commute!
Surrounded by great bars, restaurants, and neighborhood spots
Huge shared living area and a fully equipped kitchen (yes, there's a dishwasher)
Full-floor basement with tons of storage
PLUS washer & dryer
Massive backyard — perfect for relaxing and entertaining in the warmer months
The Room:
Private, unfurnished, and freshly painted
Features large windows, wood floors, and elegant French doors opening into the living room
It's the only bedroom on the main floor — extra privacy!
Comes with your own private bathroom (shower, toilet, sink)
Note: The room and bathroom are on the smaller side, but there's ample basement storage, a huge living space, and a big backyard to make up for it.
About Us:
We’re two chill, busy creative professionals (1 M, 1 F) who value a respectful, clean, and welcoming home. We’re not a party house but enjoy the occasional shared meal or drink. The apartment is a progressive, LGBTQ+ friendly space.
We're looking for someone who:
Has consistent income and works outside the apartment
Respects shared spaces and keeps things tidy (no days-old dishes here!)
Is willing to help maintain the space
Has their own life and rhythm, but is open to occasional socializing
Is seeking a long term home, not just a crash pad
No pets, sorry! Looking for 1 roommate only.
If you're interested:
Please tell us a bit about yourself — what you do, your schedule, interests, and any social links or a website so we can get a sense of who you are.
You’ll be sharing the apartment with two creative professionals: Vincent a photographer and artist from South Africa in his 40s (that’s me) and Allegra a copywriter from Toronto in her 30s working in advertising. We both lead busy, independent lives, but we value a calm, respectful home and take pride in keeping the apartment clean, comfortable, and welcoming.
Must be able to provide 1 month deposit and 1 month rent upfront. Landlord will need proof of income, and you would have to sign a lease.
