Hi! I’m looking to fill the second bedroom in my apartment. The building is near Polly’s Cafe, La Flor Pizza, and Villager in Crown Heights and has a beautiful view of a historic church. The room is $1900/month excluding utilities, which are usually $50-$100 per person.
2nd floor walk up, 7 min from the 2/3 at the Brooklyn Museum, 8 min walk from the 2/3/4/5 at Franklin Av, and a 15 min walk from Franklin Av C. The B45 and B48 stop right out front.
The living and kitchen areas are fully furnished but furniture can definitely be rearranged depending on what you’re bringing! Your bedroom would be unfurnished. I also have a small, very cuddly dog.
What I love about the apartment:
• Rent stabilized if we end up re-signing together
• Neighbors are wonderful, quiet, and many have been here for 5+ years
• Management is responsive
• In-unit washer/dryer
• Dishwasher
• Central air
• Rain shower and bidet
• Private balcony (attached to your bedroom!)
• Building has a shared roof and a lovely yard
• All new appliances
• Great location near the Brooklyn Museum and Botanical Garden
Some quirks:
• The lease is actually up July 2027 (not a typo) so looking for a longer-term sublet
• The apartment is street-facing and near an elementary school, so there can be traffic noise around pick up/drop off time (8:30am and 3pm)
• Your bedroom would not have a closet, but can fit a full-sized bed, a desk, and dresser. There is also a large closet in the hallway with overhead storage, you would be welcome to have the whole overhead storage space
• Definitely would like this to be a shoes-off household!I
About you:
I’d love to live with another woman in her late 20s/early 30s who is down with a chore chart and prioritizes open communication. I’m happy to be friends but can definitely appreciate our home as being on the quieter side. No smoking or additional pets please.
I’m a 27 year old therapist who works in community mental health. I go into the office Mondays and Tuesdays and work from home the rest of the week. I love to cook, dance salsa, and explore the city. I like to have friends over for dinner parties occasionally but nothing too crazy (recently hosted a cookie swap and a "bring your own culture" potluck to give you an idea).
