Room available in a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartment! The room has a large window, a tall closet, and a radiator for the colder months. The apartment has a door buzzer for deliveries, a dishwasher, a projector set up in the living room, and a storage / multipurpose room. The building has a shared washer and dryer in the basement and space to store bicycles. It is a close walk to the local C Kingston-Throop station, Herbert Von King Park, and coffee shops, bars, and restaurants such as Peaches HotHouse, Saraghina, WARUDE, Sincerely Tommy, Odd Fox Coffee, Barb’s, Zig Zag, and many more.
Hot water is included in the rent, but utilities, National Grid, Con Edison, and Wi-Fi vary between $50-$70+ each monthly depending on the season (AC unit usage, for example, as there is no central air). I typically buy and share household items in bulk, like toilet paper, and use Venmo to split the costs.
The roommate who is moving out is open to leaving the room's furniture if you are interested. The cost of the furniture will be determined separately with her.
No pets are allowed.
You will share the apartment with me, Renée (she/her). I am 30 years old and work at an event agency. I am currently on a hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office and 2 days I work from home during the week. I mostly relax when I'm home and keep to myself, but I am open to occasionally sharing a meal, watching a movie, or chatting over a glass of wine. I am looking for someone clean and mindful of the common areas.
Sign a sublease agreement for a month-to-month rental at $1,550/ month. For move-in on September 1, the first month's rent and security deposit are required, totaling $3,100.
Ideally, I am looking for someone interested in living in Brooklyn for a year or so.
Please tell me a little about yourself when inquiring!
