Room available in a two-bedroom apartment in a quiet 15-unit building. Room is furnished: wardrobe, queen bed, nightstand, desk, bookshelf. Shared kitchen includes use of all dishes, pots & pans, etc. Rent includes all utilities (internet, gas, electric). Close to lots of coffee shops, groceries, laundromat, Brooklyn Museum, Prospect Park. 5-minute walk to the 3 train (Nostrand), 10-minute walk to the A/C. For reference, it's around a 35-minute train ride to Union Square.

I've had several roommates live here as their first starter place in New York and it's worked out really well for them. You'd be subletting my room and living with my awesome roommate.

You'd be renting my room--I'm a writer and I teach creative writing in Colorado during the school year. Your roommate would be a woman named Kate--super creative and sweet person. Kate is a great conversationalist but we're also always respectful of each other's boundaries--mostly live in parallel (rather than entangled) in a friendly way. Ideally you two would meet, at least over zoom, before anything proceeded.
