Hello! My name is Linnea and I’m subletting my room in our wonderful Williamsburg apartment. The room is available now, with flexibility for an October 15th to November 1st move-in. But would love to get someone in asap! The sublet runs through June 1st, with the possibility of taking over the lease if you’d like to stay longer.
The room is cozy and light-filled, and fits a queen bed, desk, and dresser. The apartment itself has high ceilings, central A/C and heat, and an in-unit washer/dryer. It’s located on Metropolitan Avenue, just a five-minute walk to the Lorimer L/G and Bedford L, with the JMZ ten minutes away. Whole Foods is right around the corner, Trader Joe’s is a short walk, and you’re surrounded by excellent restaurants, cafes, and bars, plus McCarren Park and the waterfront.
Rent is $1,837 per month with utilities (gas, electricity, Internet) averaging around $100.
I’m moving into a rent-controlled one-bedroom that was too good to pass up, but this apartment has been amazing and I'm super sad to be leaving.
You’d be living with two thoughtful, creative roommates in their late twenties/early thirties. Liz (she/her, 29) is a graduate student in social work at NYU and also works full-time as a writer there; she loves live music, reading, the arts, being outdoors, and is on a mission to make the perfect soup this winter. August (he/him, 30) is a graphic designer and photographer who enjoys cooking, biking, and keeping the home cozy. Both have hybrid work schedules and bring warmth, humor, and respect to the apartment. They’re hoping to find someone of a similar age, ideally female-identifying or queer, who values collaboration, clear communication, and a home that feels relaxed, clean, and kind.
