I'm seeking a long term, unfurnished 1-2 bedroom (2 1/2 - 4 1/2) rental/ sublet in Montréal, from January 1, 2026 onwards.

• Ideal neighbourhoods include Mile End/ Little Italy/ Plateau.
• Must be dog-friendly.
• Need to move in by January 2026. A December move is also a possibility.
• Prefer in-unit washer/ dryer, dishwasher, HVAC control, ample daylight, hardwood floors, full bath.
• Access to green space via close proximity to a park and/or backyard would be ideal for my furry friend.
• The second bedroom would be used as an office space.
• Seeking a minimum one year lease with possibility to renew.

About This Lister

My name is Esther (she/ her) and I'm a Canadian photo-based artist and writer (aka a recovering academic) currently based in Brooklyn, NY. In addition to my art practice, I teach as an adjunct associate professor, occasionally write cultural criticism, and shoot still life for editorial publications.

I have a wonderful dog named Charlie, who's a furry social butterfly and an ambassador of kindness and goodwill. We are clean, quiet, and can provide excellent references!

After 14 years of living and working in the US (and over a decade in Brooklyn), I've decided it's time to move back to Montréal. Though my move will be bittersweet as I'll miss my wonderful community of friends in New York, I'm excited for this next chapter-- and, admittedly, to return to a bounty of croissants and free health care! :)
