A couple of things up front
- Preferably someone with a full-time schedule, where all work is done outside of the home.
- Looking for someone who needs a calm place to stay, not a full-on co-living setup.
- This is a gluten-free kitchen (serious allergy).
- The apartment is fully furnished and not suited for moving in additional items or furniture.
I am subletting the guest bedroom of my two-bedroom apartment in South Williamsburg. The sun filled room is minimally furnished and has a good-sized closet. The apartment has a shared bathroom with a clawfoot tub and a window, which is located off the kitchen. The apartment is a 4th floor walk-up that receives incredible light.
The bedrooms are on opposite sides of the apartment, allowing for personal space. The apartment has many plants, and the overall design is clean, calm, and minimal. I’ve taken a lot of time finding and collecting everything in my apartment- respect for the space and the gentle home vibe is important. I’m very clean, organized, and run a tight ship. Kitchen is clean, bathroom is clean, and shared space is clean.
What I am looking for:
Looking for someone who wants a quiet space in Brooklyn when staying at the apartment. Preference is to welcome subletters who are in NYC for work, and to keep the flow and energy moving within the apartment. I’m NOT looking for a full time roommate, 7 days per week.
In the past, residents from Los Angeles, Upstate New York, Miami, Arizona have used the apartment as touchstone when in the city for meetings, photoshoots, or projects in NY.
There is flexibility on the occupancy dates, with an ideal rental time starting mid October- March. If it's a good fit, I'm open to longer.
I am very quiet and considerate possibly to a fault. I am up early most days to go to the gym and/or yoga and work most weekday afternoons/evenings including Saturdays. I can be a homebody, but I am also very social outside of the apartment and can be found out and about in the city with friends.
I may occasionally have a friend over for dinner, a glass of wine or possibly a basketball game. I keep most of my socializing outside of the house.
I do my best not to leave a mess or clutter around and never leave a dish the sink. I take care of most of the common goods (cleaning supplies/paper goods) and take care of all the cleaning of the common spaces. You are welcome to contribute.
I have Celiac, minimal use of kitchen is preferred as it is gluten free :)
