The apartment is on the sixth floor of a converted 1935 factory building with period architectural features. One bedroom opens to the terrace and city views, the other two bedrooms are in the front of the space.

Clean and well equipped kitchen, very comfortable bedding, great sound system, hdtv.

Ample desk and work space both inside and out, plentiful natural and interior lighting makes this a great live/work/collaborate environment. 


Aside from the usual home office/computer driven work (writing, designing, editing, etc) the space is perfect for painting and photo and has heavy duty work surfaces inside and out. It also has high clearance throughout, from the main doors downstairs to the elevators and interior spaces.

The space and layout are perfect for working with a partner or a team and it's served this purpose well over the years, including the crew who built Kickstarter and other upstart startups. The two ideal types of renters that we can imagine would either be other artists/creative professionals like ourselves OR close friends/colleagues who are looking for a big, comfy, open and well ventilated space for living and working.

Artist, writer and proud Brooklyn resident since 2000.

The loft has been my primary residence for the past 20 years and has functioned as an interdisciplinary arts/media production space for most of that time. I live between here and southwest France with my partner and our daughter.

We adore our gorgeous, old school "castle in Brooklyn" and look forward to finding the right people to make it their home/studio/office/sanctuary while we're away.
