At DMforAdventure, we run inclusive, high-quality Dungeons & Dragons sessions for players of all ages and all skill levels, online and in-person. We are a bespoke offering, looking to hire two remote or in-person part-time Storytellers to join the DMforAdventure team.

We are hiring two part-time (in person or remote) USA based Storytellers who will lead our young adventurers on 2 hour afterschool or weekend games two to three times a week.
You will be a guide and a resource for our players, offering them engagement and support. You will have a strong storytelling voice and provide an exciting escape from the everyday.

You will start remotely running online sessions from the comfort of your home. If you are based in NYC, there will be opportunities for in-person games. Please note your location and whether you are interested in remote or in person work in your application.

About you:

* Must have in-depth knowledge of Dungeons and Dragons or other TTRPGs and a willingness to learn more
* Must have experience as a DM or GM (even if it’s just with friends)
* Must have experience with kids and a patient, kind demeanor
* Must have strong, storytelling chops and improv skills
* Must be LGBTQIA+ friendly
* Must have 2 references (at least one professional and one personal or professional)
* Must have at least 2 days a week available for Storytelling

Bonus points if you:

* Have experience Dungeon Mastering for kids
* Have worked with neurodiverse youths
* Have some theatre or acting background/experience

About the role:

- We are an inclusive, safe space where everyone is welcome.

- We provide DMForAdventure Storyteller training for all new Storytellers (this is a required one-hour training followed by a short, written assessment).

- We offer in-person and online opportunities and we are open to Storytellers based anywhere in the United States (planning to expand to Europe in 2026!).

- We provide bi-weekly Check-In’s with our Lead Team for all Storytellers to discuss any concerns or issues that come up in their games.

- We provide a generous hourly rate and flexible work.

About Us

Huzzah, Adventurers! We are building out our kids afterschool & weekend programs and hiring two part-time Storytellers and Mentors to run 2-3 hour games online and in-person for kids aged 8-17 and emerging adults aged 18-25.

Our offerings for kids, teens, and families include afterschool and weekend campaigns, family game nights, character-building sessions, and Storyteller Academy. We also offer specialized sessions that integrate adventures with our in-house one on one mentoring and tutoring program, the Heroes Circle, to provide support in executive functioning, communication, and writing skills for neurodiverse youth and emerging adults.

We also host birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette adventures and work-related team bonding.
