Seeking a new sublet for a very spacious, backyard facing room in my apartment. I have been subletting this room for about 6 years. The room will be unfurnished. It includes a massive sliding door closet with shelf space. I have my own private bathroom, so the common area bathroom would be mostly yours. The price per month is a flat rate, and INCLUDES all utilities.

The apartment is on the second floor, and is located in a great trifecta for subway access (5 minute walk to the J Chauncey stop, 5 minute walk to the C Rockaway Ave stop, and 8 minute walk to the L Bushwick Ave-Aberdeen stop). 20 minutes to the lower east side, and 30 minutes to midtown Manhattan. Laundry and grocery are readily available in the neighborhood, as well as some cute coffee shops and bars.

I would not only be open to, but am highly motivated to extend the sublease for the right person. I am also open to the possibility of shorter terms for the moment.

I am 35 years old and have been working in the hospitality/service industry since my early 20s and started working in restaurant management several years ago. I have been living in New York City for 17 years and I have been in this absolute gem of an apartment for almost a decade.

I have a very well behaved dog, he is short haired, and a complete sweetheart that loves everyone. I love to cook and when I’m home I’m typically hanging out in the living room with my dog. I like to keep my home pretty clean, and although I do like my space when I’m home, I’m happy to chat and keep things friendly— but I really am looking for someone that is generally happy with keeping to themselves at home, as that’s how I operate myself. This is not a “take the party home” type of environment, nor a place for constant house guests staying over, nor having guests over on a regular basis. If that is your lifestyle please do not apply as this will not work out. The ideal individual for this situation is someone that is clean, kind, quiet, self aware, stable, and independent.
