Occupying the top two floors of a charming classic early 20th century brownstone building, with full roof-deck accessibility, this apartment & guest bedroom is on the 3rd floor with a queen-size bed, full closet, full-length mirror, private balcony, private bathroom, and same floor access to the full kitchen and living room. You need to climb 2 flights of stairs into the apt. (Inquire about renting entire apt with access to primary bedroom/bath.) Includes all cleaning fees, free wi-fi and access to full kitchen with stove, refrigerator, filtered water, etc, plus roof deck with lounge chairs, and café table with chairs. (This apartment remains my primary residence, thus private quarters, including a bedroom/bathroom and office are on the 4th floor. I travel regularly and extensively for work and thus am gone often half of the month.)

On 136th Street, between Malcom X and Adam Clayton Powell Blvd. Located just one block from the 2/3 express subway line, and a 5 minute walk from the B/C line (with A/D express station at 125th), both of which will take you to Columbus Circle, Midtown or Downtown in 15-30 minutes. The Central Harlem neighborhood is home to the Apollo Theater, The Schomberg Center for African American Studies, the Studio Museum, Red Rooster and Sylvia’s restaurants. There is a Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s within walking distance (10 mins or 1 stop away). The Harlem Hospital is at the end of the block in case of emergency.

About This Lister

I am global head of the Photographs Department at a major auction house, specializing in the history of photography. I am a published author and public speaker, as well as a long time educator in photography and illustrated book publishing.

I travel extensively for work and am in and out of my Harlem apartment. I maintain a very clean and modern environment, and have an extensive art and book collection. I tend to go to bed early and am an early riser, am a great conversationalist, and will put you at ease (man or woman).
