Hi! My partner and I currently live with our infant son and dog in a lovely 2-bed, 1.5 bath historic Victorian with a sunroom, dishwasher, and yard in Piedmont. Shared laundry room in the basement. We're located a five minute walk from Piedmont Ave (Oakland), two minutes from the 12 bus stop that takes you to Berkeley and Downtown Oakland, and not far from MacArthur BART (5 minutes by bike, 25 walking). Great schools, great neighbors, quiet and close to everything you need in the East Bay.

I'm starting a 2-year MFA at UC Santa Cruz in the fall, and we are looking for dog-friendly housing near the north side of town (my partner will be commuting to Silicon Valley). We would be open to a housing swap (e.g. swapping our fully furnished place for yours in Santa Cruz) because we love our current place and want to come back here after my program. Otherwise, we are looking to stay in the ballpark of $3,500/month inclusive. In-unit laundry and a dishwasher are must-haves.

We're mature and responsible tenants with great references. We've been in our current place for four years.

I'm an artist and independent consultant starting an MFA program in the fall. My partner is a software engineer working in Silicon Valley. We have an 8-month-old son and 5-year-old rescue pup.
